Vore III (Album cover artwork for band Sea of Zyn)
I posted a blog entry some time back about artwork that I created for a Detroit, MI (USA) alternative band Sea of Zyn. They are nearing the release of the album in CD, iTunes, even vinyl! ….so I thought I would re-post the artwork and band info again.
Devastated by a weakened auto industry coupled with a [global] recession, Detroit is going through a bit of a forced shift in her culture. They have starting looking more inward toward their other resources, the arts and artists that have been there all along and have always been bigger and far more reaching than the cars they make. Detroit’s influence on music in our contemporary world cannot be overstated. From Motown, electronica to punk rock, names such as Aretha Franklin or Jack White seem almost without region to most, but their roots are very much Detroit.
